Xcelle Employee Evaluation System
Overview
Xcelle Inc., a leading provider of data-driven employee performance evaluation and enhancement systems, sought to convert a paper-based, 360 degree employee questionnaire evaluation system to the web. Xcelle selected DSD Interactive to build an application in which the delivery of assessment questionnaires and the processing of results was highly automated using the web. DSD Interactive was able to help because of our ability to translate business needs into an effective, useful database-driven web application.
Challenges
- Design an easy-to-use, highly customizable system - capable of generating and scoring questionnaires - delivering them the appropriate individuals via email links to the web.
- Create an engaging and friendly web interface, as well as easy-to-use evaluation tools for the client's online customers.
- Dynamically deliver results to evaluation participants in real time.
Solutions
- Designed a user interface to allow customers to easily transition from offline to online enrollment
- Developed customized content management tools for the IPD tracking, billing, and evaluation.
Results
Since the IPD evaluation and delivery of its results is automated, Xcelle can now expand their services to organizations without costly and time-consuming manual setup, distribution, and processing.

Xcelle Website Redesign
In February 2006, DSD unveiled the newly designed Xcelle website. Having learned about the client's core business firsthand over the course of the ongoing IPD project, DSD worked with Rick Sprague of Xcelle to establish a new visual style that better captures the spirit and direction of the organization.
